國際童軍電信日 2003 - 本年由於資源有限的關系，國際童軍電信日港島分站只有約有一千六百名，八至十五歲的童軍參加。雖然如此，港島地域的無線電活動有了十五位熱心的Ham支持中轉站上的Ham指導得以順利進行。

今年我們亦衝出港島地域總部，去到心光盲人學校為 旅團的特能童軍服務，完全發揮了業餘無線電服務社會的精神。

值此亦多謝有份參與之前港島地域童軍通訊專章訓練習的ham導師，他們巳經畢業啦!

多謝您們對這個課程多星期的支持和對加者悉心的教導，希望可在不久將來可在童軍服務見到您，為香港培養下一代的優質業餘無線電愛好者。

Hong Kong Scout Hong Kong Island Region 46th Jamboree-On-The-Air (JOTA) was the most important Radio Scouting event of year. Purpose of this event is to bring Scouts from around the World closer by means of Amateur Radio.  It also gave a momentus drive to Radio Scouting in HKIR and allowed more people to experience Amateur Radio for the first time.

This year due to retrictions on space, there were only 1700 Scouts (aged 8-15) participated in Hong Kong side of the event. Two sub-stations were setup this year to cater for special needs, one for the Ebenezer School for the visually impaired and one at Man Seng College. I found that the service at the Ebenezer School was both meaningful and demonstrated

It couldn't have been so successful without the help of 280 volunteer staff and hams, who spent a lot of their precious hours preparing and helping out the event.

I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of Hong Kong Scout Hong Kong Island Region (HKIR), to thank all the hams who helped this event and hams who patiently guided the Scouts on air.
